Good Shepherd Montessori School

Family Parent Cooperative

As a community made up of parents, educators, grandparents, and leaders, we all share a common bond and goal: we love our children and want to ensure that they have a wonderful educational opportunity and experience. With the active cooperation and participation of parent volunteers, Good Shepherd Montessori School has been able to: teach a sense of community; utilize the unique talents and skills of its community; minimize expenses and enhance the overall experience for our children.

The goal of the Family Parent Cooperative (FPC) is to help engage you in your child’s educational process, become socially connected to other GSMS families, and help share your talents and interests with Good Shepherd to help meet  critical needs. We recognize that parents are busy with tight schedules and limited free time, so we offer a variety of ways to participate in the FPC. Due to the cooperative nature of the school, each family is expected to contribute at least 35 hours each academic year, wherever their talents and time allow throughout the school year.

There are a variety of needs from everyday needs such as driving to Farm and lunch duty, to special event needs such as grilling food for events, set up, and fundraising events.  Please follow the steps below to set your volunteer schedule and keep track of your volunteer hours.
